Tony`s Cafe & Pizzeria in Taneytown

Tony's Cafe is the quintessential neighborhood pizza shop. Far better pizza and strombolis than any of the chains coupled with fast, friendly service. Never been disappointed.

We got the garlic bread cheesesteak. Carole, thinks in addition to the garlic bread there is additional cheese that gives it a 'white pizza' taste. We like it. It is definitely very flavorful. The pizza looked amazing. The place was dark at lunch time.

Food is always great! Staff is friendly.

The pizza here is a disgrace - I do not understand the hype. I've tried pies to go from them a few times, and they are consistently sloppily assembled, with an unappetizing amount of cheese, unevenly placed toppings, and a soggy, greasy, lacking in structural integrity crust. I should be able to pick up a slice of pizza to eat it and not have to use a knife and fork.

I don’t know what happened over the years. I used to love this place 8 years ago. I decided to take a visit today. The service should have been more professional and the pizza was generic tasting and bland. Will not be returning.

Cheesesteaks were a bit dry, but reasonably priced. The location looks like it’s pizza is more it’s forte. I will go back to try the pizza though. The owner was very friendly and gave a free 2 liter with our purchase.

Absolutely, hands down, most delicious food. Great prices. Had only one issue and it was taken care of immediately. Luigi and Raymond are phenomenal...always friendly, always busy but has a minute to ask you how you've been and how's the family. I reccomend Tony's Cafe to everyone! A genuine small business.

Got the cheesesteak. There really aren’t a lot of ways to make a cheesesteak exceptional but Tony’s had a few thing that made it really good. The bun was quality, crispy on the outside yet soft and light enough to not overwhelm the main event. Meat seemed to be of good quality. Proportion of meat to bun was spot on. They also kept it simple for their traditional style: meat, bun, cheese but you can get more if you’d like. Atmosphere was cool, hole in the wall type and short on space but there was efficiency. Place was packed, seems popular. You can sit down in restaurant.Service was great, well staffed n was greeted promptly and in a friendly way even tho they were very busy. Got in and out quick.The pizzas on display looked really good as well!

Tony’s is hands down the best pizza in the area, everywhere else pales in comparison, and that’s not an exaggeration in the slightest. I’ve never eaten anything from here that was bad or had something wrong with it. Everyone who works there is a class act. This place is perfect if you’re in the area and only have time to grab a slice or two, and there is a wide array of slice varieties to choose from, from Mexican to cheesesteak to my favorite, the ziti pizza. Good luck eating one slice of ziti pizza, though, those things are hefty to the max. My one gripe? It in no way detracts from the quality of the establishment, but there is no In house delivery service, but if you have door dash, you’re all good. I don’t have enough nice things to say about Tony’s.

WELCOME TO ITALY! Absolutely love Tony’s. The attitude, the atmosphere, the employees, the food - phenomenal! 20 out of 10! Will go here every week and will raise my children on the food and experiences of this place! Nothing short of amazing.

1st time here. Pizza was very good, But the itialian sub was the worst I ever had. The meat was thick, and quality of meat was worse than canned ham. Sorry I bought it.

Tony's place it's one of the best experiences I've had while eating, the got everything from classic Italian dishes to burgers and clams, I can safely say I want to go back. When I came to this place I had a headache and low appetite and I came out feeling well and very full. The place is small so if you want a good seat you'll have to arrive a little bit early, I wouldn't say its a place that can hold too many people, I would recommend it to couples and marriage anniversaries, although it can hold 4 people quite good. The desserts are so good it would be selfish to spoil you the experience.(The dessert on the picture is called Chocolate bomb)

I got a porchetta sandwich. Pork, broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. Everything was great except for the broccoli rabe is mostly stems. If you get one up Philly at John's or Tony Luke's it's all leafy Rob, no stems. anchew.

Living in Hockessin, I only recently heard about Tony’s Cafe from a neighborhood email suggestion. Since my initial visit several weeks ago, I have returned 4 additional times for both take out and dining in. Without a doubt, this is real Italian food, made from scratch, thats delicious. The entrees and the pizza is fabulous. The thin crust Tomato pie, is nothing short of award winning. A must try for anyone within a 20 mile radius.I’ll be back every week for sure!

Great little strip mall eatery serving many Italian delicacies including the best New York style pizza. This place is the real thing!!!

I'm here from Utah for work. I came here for lunch because of the reviews. Their Eggplant Parmesan sub is awesome. The flavor is excellent I'll probably not have to eat for the rest the day. I'm going to miss this place.

My go to for pizza and pasta. Tomato Pie is out of this world amazing. If you have never been to Tony's...you have no idea how neglected you are...Ive lived here 20 years. Only place I am a regular.
